The charming heritage town of Dalkey, with its medieval streetscape is attractively situated on the southern end of Dublin Bay. It is approximately half an hour’s drive from the city centre and is on the Dart train line. All the festival venues are within five minutes’ walk from the DART.
Dalkey has a village atmosphere in a town setting. There is an abundance of bars, cafes, gourmet restaurants, quality hostelries and bistros and, of course, a gem of a traditional bookshop. There are lots of opportunities to relax, whether by the picturesque Coliemore Harbour overlooking Dalkey Island, the beach, Sorrento Park, Dillons Park or Dalkey & Killiney Hill.
Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre on Castle Street has Living History Live Performances every half hour as part of the tour of the Castle. See www.dalkeycastle.com
