Bill Emmott is an independent writer and consultant on international affairs. He was Editor of The Economist (1993 – 2006). He is the author of 13 books on Japan, Asia, Italy and the 20th century, his latest being ‘Japan’s Far More Female Future’. A “Brexile living in Ireland’, Bill is chairman of the Wake Up Foundation, as well as of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the Japan Society of the UK, and Trinity College Dublin’s Long Room Hub Arts & Humanities Research Institute. He is co-Director of the new non-profit Global Commission for Post-Pandemic Policy.
