The Beating Heart of Poetry

When we read poetry we think in a different way; it has never been more important to slow down, contemplate, feel and connect. Poetry takes us to a different place, allowing us to see the world through a different lens. Elaine Feeney and Victoria Kennefick return to Dalkey and will be joined by Breda Wall Ryan to explain what poetry means to them and how it enriches their  lives. They will give us some more insights into their thought process and read aloud one or two of their favourite poems, or poems that have stopped them in their tracks. They may also be persuaded to read some poems from their latest collections.
