Doireann Ní Ghríofa
Doireann Ní Ghríofa’s books hopscotch between genres and times, and her days are often spent in archives, trying to eavesdrop on the Dead. Her prose début ‘A Ghost in the Throat’ was written on the rooftop of a free carpark in Cork and went on to be described as ‘powerful’ (New York Times) and ‘captivatingly original’ (The Guardian). Her new book is ‘Said the Dead’ is published by Faber on 21st May.
