in-between shows? take a walk on the dalkey side

Got a gap between events? Stretch your legs and your imagination with Walkie Dalkey, a guided walking tour that uncovers the real Dalkey: pirates, poets, and the occasional movie star. Led by local legends Brian (actor and history buff) and Ian (Guinness ambassador and seasoned tour guide), Walkie Dalkey is part history, part craic, and all heart. You’ll stroll through centuries of tales, then finish up with a creamy pint and maybe a few new festival friends.

Brought to you by South Dublin Coastal Tours, it’s the perfect way to fall for Dalkey all over again.

Book your Walkie Dalkey tour

Between chapters and chats, why not hop aboard with a true local legend? Ken the Ferryman & Son run trips daily from Coliemore Harbour to Dalkey Island, giving you a front-row seat to seals, sea air, and stories older than Ireland itself.

No bookings, no fuss, just show up, check the weather, and sail off on a little adventure. Trips run 10am to 6pm, weather permitting. It’s the perfect breath of fresh air between festival sessions.
