Terence Ward
Terence Ward grew up in Arabia and Iran. Later in Egypt, he studied Islamic history at the American University of Cairo, while singing in a jazz band. He then graduated in political science from Berkeley. Based in Athens, he served as a cultural consultant across the Persian Gulf for seven years. From Indonesia, he served on humanitarian missions for the UN and the Open Society in East Timor and Burma.
